The official campaign is live on Kickstarter at kickstarter.com/projects/minalima/defenders-of-hogwarts — and it was one of 2026’s biggest board game crowdfunds.

- Funding period: 30 June – 23 July 2026 (23 days)
- Goal: £50,000
- Final result: £1,313,755 pledged by 10,959 backers — roughly 26 times the goal
- Campaign activity: 19 official updates, a 28-question FAQ, and 599 comments at the time of writing
- Latest update: 8 October 2026, as fulfilment of backer copies was under way
A note on other sites: pledge-manager pages (such as Hive Interactive) still show an older mid-campaign snapshot (£1,145,517 / 9,436 backers). The figures above are from the Kickstarter campaign page itself and are the ones to trust.

What made the Kickstarter deal special
Per the campaign’s own “Kickstarter Benefits” breakdown:
- Kickstarter pricing — tier packages saved up to 30% on the recommended retail price.
- Kickstarter exclusives — the art print set and upgrade items were only available through the campaign; the art print is not available for late pledgers.
- Every backer who joined before the campaign ended received a free Kickstarter-exclusive art print (A5, gold foil detailing, MinaLima heritage emboss) with any tier.

Late pledges — still open
All three tiers remain available as late pledges at the same prices (£58 / £115 / £280) via the campaign page. The late-pledge Defender does not include the Kickstarter-exclusive art print; the upgrade contents of the higher tiers carry over.
